At Easiklip, we believe a floor should do more than support your space. It should elevate it.
For decades, solid hardwood flooring required glue, nails, and specialized labour. The material was timeless, but the process was complicated. We saw an opportunity to rethink the system without compromising the integrity of the wood itself.
The result is Easiklip: authentic ¾ inch solid white oak flooring, engineered with a patented aluminum clip system that eliminates adhesives, reduces installation complexity, and allows hardwood to float naturally.
Real wood.
Modern engineering.
No unnecessary complications.
Why We Chose a Different Path
As the flooring industry shifted toward engineered cores, laminates, and synthetic alternatives, longevity quietly diminished. Floors became faster to install and faster to replace.
We chose a different approach.
- Solid hardwood, not veneer
- Low-emission finishes, free from added formaldehyde
- A reusable installation system that reduces demolition waste
- A product designed to last 50 to 70 years
Easiklip was created to make solid hardwood practical again, without reducing it to a disposable surface.
What Makes Easiklip Different
Most floating floors rely on engineered construction: layered plywood cores with a thin hardwood surface.
Easiklip is solid oak through and through.
Our patented aluminum clip system connects boards mechanically rather than bonding them to the subfloor. This allows each plank to move naturally with seasonal humidity changes while maintaining structural cohesion across the entire floor.
Silicone cushioning reduces friction between boards and helps minimize squeaks.
It is the authenticity of traditional hardwood without the mess of traditional installation.
A Family-Led Company With Global Reach
Easiklip began with innovation, but it continues through stewardship.
The company builds on a multi-generational legacy in hardwood manufacturing. What started as an engineering solution has grown into distribution across North America and Europe.
We are not a mass-market flooring brand.
We are a focused team committed to material integrity, customer care, and long-term value.
2025
Present Day
Easiklip continues to grow.
2024
Leroy Merlin Retailer, France
Sales extended into Leroy Merlin retail, located in France.
2018
North America Expansion
Distribution reached Canada and the USA. A trial sale to Costco (four containers) marked our North American Debut. Around the same time, we also entered the Belgian and Spanish markets, partnering with Brico & Brico Depot respectively. However, partnerships eventually concluded due to payment terms and changing market.
2010
The Third Generation
Easiklip's growth accelerated in France, with floors showcased at the Shanghai Expo, even capturing the attention of the current French president and a prominent French distributor. Major retailers like Castorama (Kingfisher Group) came aboard, and also led to sales in Japan through Nagai Building Supplies.
2008
The Second Generation
Easiklip expanded into England, Ireland (with Jim), and France (with Arnaud). With a new clip design, the product evolved into a true solid hardwood system that requires no nails and no glues. At this time, key partnerships were established in England and Ireland, including Taylor Maxwell, based in Leeds, England, and National Tile, based in Ireland.
2005
The First Iteration
The Easiklip journey began with inventor Jason Tsai, inspired by an English client, Paul, who wanted a floating solid floor—something that did not exist at the time. Jason explored innovative methods, laying the foundation for what would become Easiklip's signature system.

Our Commitment to Health and Sustainability
Solid hardwood is inherently renewable when responsibly sourced. But sustainability is more than raw material.
Easiklip floors:
- Contains no added formaldehyde
- Use low-VOC finishes
- Eliminate adhesive waste during installation
- Are designed to be removed and reused
Because our flooring is built to last decades, not renovation cycles, it reduces the environmental impact of frequent replacement.
Better for your home. Better for indoor air quality. Better for long-term material stewardship.

Frequently Asked Questions About Easiklip
What inspired the creation of Easiklip solid hardwood flooring?
Easiklip was born from a simple but ambitious question: Why does solid hardwood require glue, nails, and specialized labour to install?
In 2005, inventor Jason Tsai developed the first iteration of what would become the Easiklip system after being asked to create a true floating solid hardwood floor. At the time, floating systems existed only for engineered products. Solid oak remained dependent on traditional fastening methods.
Over the next two decades, the system evolved through multiple clip refinements and international expansion. Today, Easiklip combines authentic ¾ inch solid white oak with a patented aluminum clip system that eliminates adhesives while preserving structural integrity.
It is traditional material reimagined through modern engineering.
Is Easiklip real solid hardwood or engineered flooring?
Easiklip is genuine ¾ inch solid white oak from top to bottom. It is not veneer-layered, laminated, or built over fibreboard.
Engineered hardwood typically uses a thin hardwood surface bonded to plywood or composite cores. While this reduces cost, it limits refinishing potential and overall lifespan.
Because Easiklip is solid hardwood throughout, it can be sanded and refinished multiple times. With proper humidity control and care, it can last 50 to 70 years.
It performs like traditional nail-down hardwood but installs as a floating system.
How is Easiklip different from traditional glue-down or nail-down hardwood floors?
Traditional hardwood flooring relies on mechanical fastening or adhesives. Nails pierce the subfloor. Glue bonds permanently to the substrate. Both methods require specialized tools, create dust or fumes, and increase labour complexity.
Easiklip uses a patented aluminum clip system that connects planks together without fastening them to the subfloor. The floor floats as a unified surface over a properly prepared base.
This allows natural expansion and contraction with seasonal humidity changes while reducing installation mess and long-term subfloor damage.
The result is a solid hardwood floor that can be installed in hours rather than days, removed if needed, and maintained without destructive demolition.
Where is Easiklip available?
Easiklip North America operates from Vancouver, British Columbia, with distribution across Canada and the United States. The brand also maintains retail partnerships in Europe.
Despite its global reach, Easiklip remains a family-led company known for direct customer service and long-term product integrity.
Is Easiklip environmentally responsible and safe for indoor air quality?
Solid hardwood is a renewable material when responsibly sourced, but installation methods often introduce unnecessary chemicals.
Easiklip eliminates the need for glue during installation. There are no adhesive curing fumes and no added formaldehyde in the product. Finishes are low VOC, supporting healthier indoor air quality.
Because the floor is designed to last decades and can be refinished rather than replaced, it reduces long-term material waste compared to disposable laminate or vinyl systems.
Longevity is one of the most sustainable decisions a homeowner can make.
Why choose Easiklip over engineered or synthetic flooring?
Many modern flooring systems prioritize speed and cost over durability. Engineered boards, laminates, and vinyl planks often rely on thin wear layers or synthetic cores that cannot be refinished and must be replaced when worn.
Easiklip offers:
- ¾ inch solid white oak construction
- Refinishing capability over decades
- Floating installation without adhesives
- Removable and reusable system design
- Premium resale value associated with real hardwood
It is designed for homeowners who want the authenticity and lifespan of traditional hardwood without the complications of traditional installation.
