How much will you need?
Quarter Round moldings are a type of baseboard molding that can be used to cover expansion gaps between conventional (thin) baseboards and Easiklip flooring. Since Easiklip floating floors require a 15mm (5/8") expansion gap, most baseboards are too thin to cover the gap. A quarter round molding can be attached to the bottom of the baseboard to cover the additional gap for an elegant and unified finish.
Easiklip can custom finish your quarter rounds to match your Easiklip flooring, or you can choose to have them unfinished if you wish to stain or paint them yourself.
It is a matter of personal preference whether your quarter rounds match the baseboards you will attach them to or if you want them to match the flooring for a seamless transition. Both options are widely accepted. See our photo samples to see the difference.
When installing flooring, you will note that shading varies between individual boards, despite them having the same finish. When matching moldings to your flooring during installation, look for a shade of floor board that most closely matches the molding you are working with for the smoothest transition.
Please Note: Our RUSTIC style moldings (Rustic White Bleach and Rustic Smoke Stain) DO NOT have the rough textured saw marked surface finish that our rustic floorings have. Instead they have a smooth finish. This is due to manufacturing limitations when producing wood moldings with rounded edges.
